Restrictions Applied by WhatsApp in Chatbot

Supsis AI allows you to use your WhatsApp channel effectively. With the chatbot service, this usage becomes automatic and faster. The WhatsApp channel integrated with Supsis has some restrictions to improve user experience and prevent misuse of the channel.

These restrictions also remain valid during Chatbot activity. This way, the channel that provides service automatically operates within the determined limits. These restrictions, which focus on security, provide clean and quality communication.

Checking WhatsApp Restrictions

To check WhatsApp restrictions and audit their relationship with Chatbot, you must log into the Supsis AI panel. Then:

  1. You can access the channels you have integrated by entering the "Integrations" menu on the Chatbot page.
  2. You can click on the WhatsApp channel to check and manage WhatsApp and Chatbot settings from here.

Restrictions Applied by WhatsApp Channel in Chatbot System

Button Restrictions

Restrictions shaped around button features ensure that messages transmitted by Chatbot through WhatsApp are more effective.

  1. Button Character Limit:

    • The character limit for buttons is 20. The number of characters on each button should not exceed 20. This limit is determined to increase message readability and provide a clear option to the user. More than 20 characters will not fit on the button, the message will be incomplete.
  2. Emoji Usage:

    • For messages to be clear and understandable, there are limitations on emojis as well as characters. If you are using more than three buttons, none of the buttons should contain emojis. Bot responses that do not comply with this restriction are not transmitted to the other party.
  3. Button Count:

    • For WhatsApp messages to be effective, it is important that they are clear and short. Therefore, there is a limit of 10 buttons for a single message. If more than 10 buttons are used in a message, the message is automatically divided into two. 10 buttons are sent with one message, and the remaining buttons are sent to the other party with a separate message.
  4. Open URL Interaction:

    • The "Open URL" interaction does not work in button messages you send outside of templates you create in your WhatsApp channel. This means that the "Open URL" interaction in Chatbots cannot be used on WhatsApp.

Block Restrictions

There are also WhatsApp restrictions on blocks in the Chatbot system.

  1. Gallery Interaction:
    • The gallery interaction in the bot response block can only be sent if it consists of a single photo. If more than one visual is added in the gallery interaction, message sending does not occur.

Conclusion

These restrictions are important points you should consider when designing your Chatbot. By complying with these restrictions, you can provide a healthy and effective Chatbot experience through WhatsApp. Otherwise, you may have difficulty reaching your users and encounter problems in transmitting your bot responses.
